Mr. Hobbs Takes a Vacation

“Jimmy Takes A Vacation... You Have All The Fun!”

Banker Roger Hobbs (James Stewart) has one wish for his vacation, to spend it alone with his wife, Peggy (Maureen O'Hara). She has other plans, and the family heads for a California beach house that turns out to be ugly and falling apart. Henry Koster fills it with grown daughters and their husbands, a son who won't leave the television, and Katey (Lauri Peters), who hides her braces and stays off the sand.
