Mr. Holmes

“The man behind the myth”

Sherlock Holmes (Ian McKellen) is ninety-three and living in Sussex in 1947, and he wants to write down the last case he ever worked before his memory loses it for good. Bill Condon follows him through the effort, with Mrs. Munro (Laura Linney) keeping his house and her son Roger (Milo Parker) coming to hold the pieces he drops. The old detective sits at his desk, pen in hand, searching for a name he used to know.
