Mr. Wonderful

“Sometimes love is a stranger. And sometimes it's someone you've known all your life.”

Gus (Matt Dillon), an electrician, wants to buy an old bowling alley with a few of his friends, the way he has pictured it since he was a kid. The money is stuck in his alimony payments, so he sets out to find his ex-wife Leonora (Annabella Sciorra) a new husband. Anthony Minghella fills the film with friends, relatives and would-be suitors, and the plain idea under it all is that the person you've spent years not looking at may be the one you needed to see.
