Mrs. Dalloway

(1997)Directed by Marleen Gorris97 minDrama, Romance
“A woman’s past unlocks the truth buried within her soul.”

Clarissa Dalloway (Vanessa Redgrave) is the wife of a legislator and a fixture of London's party circuit, and she spends the day getting her house ready for a gathering that evening. Word of a sick war veteran, Septimus Warren Smith, sends her thoughts back to young Clarissa (Natascha McElhone) and her romance with Peter Walsh (Alan Cox as the young man). Marleen Gorris moves between the present and those memories in flashback, without any fuss.
