Mrs. Miniver

(1942)Directed by William Wyler134 minDrama, Romance, War
“"Mrs. Miniver" is more than a picture... It's dramatic. It's tender. It's human. It's real.”

Then the war comes, and Vin Miniver joins the RAF just as he starts courting Carol Beldon (Teresa Wright), granddaughter of the stern Lady Beldon (May Whitty). Kay Miniver (Greer Garson) and her husband Clem (Walter Pidgeon) keep their village house running while the household worries pile up. William Wyler films the Minivers' ordinary rooms and small talk plainly, so the war arrives inside the family.
