Ms .45

“She was abused and violated. It will never happen again!”

Thana (Zoë Lund), a mute seamstress in New York, is attacked twice on the walk home from work, and the second man leaves her with a .45 she did not ask for. Abel Ferrara shoots the city in grainy, unglamorous light and keeps close to her face as she goes back out into the streets. She is a shy, quiet woman in a place that has already shown her what it will do, and the next stranger is waiting somewhere on those same blocks.
