Mud

“Running from his past. Hiding from the law. Only one way out.”

Two boys exploring an island in the Mississippi find Mud (Matthew McConaughey), a fugitive hiding in the brush with a boat half-buried in mud. Ellis (Tye Sheridan) and Neckbone agree to help him repair it, smuggle him food, and reunite him with Juniper (Reese Witherspoon), the woman he claims to love. As bounty hunters close in and Mud's past unravels, Ellis learns that loyalty to a person and loyalty to the truth are not always the same thing.
