Mufasa: The Lion King

“The story of an orphan who would be king.”

A lion cub named Mufasa (voice: Aaron Pierre) is swept away from his pride during a storm and washes up in an unfamiliar land. There he meets Taka (voice: Kelvin Harrison Jr.), a rogue lion with his own claim to greatness, and the two form a bond that will shape their destinies. Barry Jenkins renders the African savanna in luminous detail, each frame thick with color and movement, the sky burning gold as Mufasa stands alone on the ridge.
