Mulan

(1998)Directed by Tony Bancroft, Barry Cook88 min · GAnimation, Family, Adventure
“The flower that blooms in adversity is the most rare and beautiful of all.”

An army roll call goes out across China, and one name is on it that belongs to an old man too ill to answer. Mulan (Ming-Na Wen) rides off in his place dressed as a soldier, with the ancestral dragon Mushu (Eddie Murphy) tagging along, and joins Captain Shang (BD Wong) in training camp. Directors Barry Cook and Tony Bancroft set her against Shan-Yu (Miguel Ferrer) and his Huns, and if anyone finds out who she is, she could be executed.
