Mumford

“Some towns have all the fun.”

A psychologist named Dr. Mumford (Loren Dean) arrives in a town that shares his name, and within days half the place is lining up for his couch. He listens, says what he thinks without padding it, and the town's oddest citizens, among them Sofie Crisp (Hope Davis) and Skip Skipperton (Jason Lee), hand him their old secrets. Lawrence Kasdan fills the frame with these neighbors and lets the small town talk to itself.
