Münchhausen

(1943)Directed by Josef von Báky116 minFantasy, Comedy

One baron appears in the eighteenth century and again in the present, and he has not aged a day. Baron Münchhausen (Hans Albers) tells a lovestruck woman about his adventures, and the Moon Man (Wilhelm Bendow) and Count Cagliostro (Ferdinand Marian) turn up in the stories he tells. Josef von Báky made the film in 1943 as a lavish Agfacolor fantasy, with painted sets and trick effects filling every frame.
