Murder by Numbers

“The only flaw in their plan was her.”

Cassie Mayweather (Sandra Bullock) is a homicide detective who pushes every case past the point where her colleagues would stop. She and her still-green partner Sam Kennedy (Ben Chaplin) take on a murder that two brilliant young men seem to have planned with great care. Barbet Schroeder, working loosely from the Leopold and Loeb case, leaves Cassie turning over her notes while the two students watch from the far side of the table.
