Murphy's War

“World War Two was just ending. World War Murphy is about to begin.”

A German U-Boat sinks Murphy's ship in the last days of the Second World War and leaves him the only man alive from his crew. Murphy (Peter O'Toole) is rescued and taken to a forgotten mission station near the mouth of the Orinoco, where he decides the U-Boat will not get away with it. Peter Yates keeps him there, a lone survivor in an unforgiving place, set on sinking it by any means he can find.
