“Based on the largest heist in Mexico's history”

On Christmas Eve 1985, more than a hundred Mayan, Mixtec and Zapotec pieces vanish from the National Museum of Anthropology in Mexico City. The ones who took them are Juan Núñez (Gael García Bernal) and Benjamín Wilson (Leonardo Ortizgris), two veterinary students who never finished their degrees. Alonso Ruizpalacios, working from the true case, keeps the pair close, a master key and a bag of unmatched artifacts between them.
