My Best Friend's Wedding

“Julianne fell in love with her best friend the day he decided to marry someone else.”

Julianne Potter (Julia Roberts), a food critic, takes a phone call from her old friend Michael (Dermot Mulroney) and learns he is marrying Kimberly Wallace (Cameron Diaz), a young debutante, in only days. Only then does she admit she wants him for herself. P.J. Hogan puts her in the middle of the wedding party with a plan to break it up, and each day she stays, the more she stands to lose.
