(1992)Directed by Jonathan Lynn119 min · RComedy, Drama

“There have been many courtroom dramas that have glorified the Great American Legal System. This is not one of them.”

Bill Gambini (Ralph Macchio) just wants to get back to college, but a drive through rural Alabama ends with him and his friend Stan (Mitchell Whitfield) charged with murder. The only lawyer he can call is his cousin Vinny (Joe Pesci), a Brooklyn auto mechanic who passed the bar on his sixth try. Jonathan Lynn puts Vinny and his leather-clad girlfriend, Mona Lisa Vito (Marisa Tomei), in front of Judge Haller (Fred Gwynne), and Vinny has never tried a case.
