My Dog Stupid

“You Don't Choose Your Family, Or Your Dog.”

Henri Mohen (Yvan Attal) is a middle-aged writer who hasn't published anything worth noting in years, and he wants out of a house full of people who don't understand him. Then an ugly, ill-mannered dog turns up in his garden, and Henri takes him in. Charlotte Gainsbourg plays Cécile, his wife, who watches the dog settle in among four grown kids and the neighbors, and Henri sits in the garden with the animal beside him.
