My Father and My Son

“Give Him a Room Dad, He Has Nowhere to Go...”

Sadık (Fikret Kuşkan) is a journalist whose wife died in childbirth during the 1980 coup, and whose body is broken by torture. He takes his young son Deniz (Ege Tanman) back to the family farm, to a father, Hüseyin (Çetin Tekindor), who wrote him off years ago for choosing politics over the land. Çağan Irmak keeps the house quiet, and Sadık sits across from the old man, sick and short of time, asking him for a home his boy can stay in.
