Elmer Elevator (Jacob Tremblay) runs away from the city, where he and his mother Dela (Golshifteh Farahani) have landed after a hard move. He is looking for Wild Island and a young dragon, Boris (Gaten Matarazzo), who is waiting to be rescued. Nora Twomey draws the island and its beasts in soft, hand-painted color, so the strange place feels close enough to touch.
