(1999)Directed by Donald Petrie94 min · PGComedy, Family, Science Fiction

“The martian has landed. There goes the neighborhood.”

Tim O'Hara (Jeff Daniels) is a television reporter who badly wants a Pulitzer and keeps coming up empty. Then a Martian spaceship crashes on Earth, and the alien aboard (Christopher Lloyd) passes himself off as Tim's Uncle Martin. Donald Petrie lets Tim scheme to expose his houseguest while Martin, needing his ship repaired, keeps one step ahead of him, and Tim stays stuck with a story nobody will believe.
