My Happy Marriage

Nothing is explained about why Miyo Saimori (Mio Imada) is married off at all, only that her family, who have treated her cruelly for years, hand her to Kiyoka Kudo (Ren Meguro), an army commander whose cold manner frightens everyone who knows of him. Ayuko Tsukahara sets the first meetings between them in quiet rooms, two wary people sharing a house and saying very little. Miyo arrives expecting more of the same harshness, and she keeps her head down.
