My One and Only

Anne Devereaux (Renée Zellweger) wants one thing for her family, a man who will take care of her and her two sons. When her husband, Dan (Kevin Bacon), proves unreliable, she packs the boys into a car and heads out from New York toward Pittsburgh, St. Louis and eventually Hollywood, hunting for a replacement. Richard Loncraine films the trip as a string of roadside stops, loosely drawn from stories George Hamilton told about his own boyhood on the road.
