My Prostitute Love

“Love is not enough. We should have met a long time ago.”

In 1968 Turkey, Halil (İzzet Günay) runs a greengrocer's stall and fills his days with sameness, until one night his friends take him to a nightclub. There he meets Sabiha (Türkan Şoray), who works at the club, and the two fall in love at once and move in together. Lütfi Akad follows a love that starts in a place built for pretending, and the question is how much of it was ever true.
