My Reputation

“Of all the dramatic triumphs from Warners this one is the greatest!”

Jessica Drummond (Barbara Stanwyck) has been a widow long enough to want more than her late husband's memory, and in Major Scott Landis (George Brent) she finds a man who notices her. Her friends, her domineering mother and her two young sons all have opinions about it. Curtis Bernhardt keeps the camera on Stanwyck's face while the gossip moves from room to room around her.
