My Sex Life... or How I Got Into an Argument

Paul Dédalus (Mathieu Amalric) wants to finish his doctorate, and he can't decide whether he wants anything else that comes with it. A professorship waits if he takes it, and so does Esther (Emmanuelle Devos), his girlfriend of many years, along with the other women he has loved. Arnaud Desplechin follows him through a long run of arguments with friends and lovers, and every choice Paul postpones leaves someone waiting on him.
