My Small Land

“Can I call this place my home?”

Sarya (Lina Arashi) has lived in Japan since she was five, and all she wants is an ordinary life there, where she feels at home. Her Kurdish family fled Turkey and still holds to its traditions, and then they lose their refugee status, and their days in the country start to look numbered. Ema Kawawada follows Sarya and her father, Mazrum (Arashi Kahafizadeh), as each tries to hold the family together in a different way.
