My Son

“A groundbreaking achievement in filmmaking where both actor and audience uncover a mystery at the same time.”

Edmond Murray (James McAvoy) has spent years away from his family, and he comes back to the Scottish Highlands when his ex-wife Joan (Claire Foy) tells him their young son has gone missing. Christian Carion gave McAvoy no script, only his character's backstory, so Edmond's questions to the police were improvised. Each hour without the boy is an hour Edmond cannot get back, and the town has only a little time left to answer him.
