“School's out...But Bobby's education has just begun”

It's 1983, the summer after high school, and Bobby Chrystal (Matt Lattanzi) has failed French, which puts his place at Yale in doubt. His father, Mr. Chrystal (Kevin McCarthy), hires Terry (Caren Kaye), a 29-year-old tutor, to get him through a make-up exam. George Bowers sets the lessons against Bobby's friends dragging him on their own errands, and Terry sits across from him at the table, the textbook open between them.
