My Twentieth Century
Twin girls are born in Budapest in 1880, on the same night Thomas Edison (Péter Andorai) unveils his electric lightbulb, and both want what the new century seems to promise. Ildikó Enyedi follows Dóra and Lili (Dorota Segda), orphaned and parted as children, one growing into a bomb-carrying anarchist and the other into a pampered courtesan. Both are headed for the Orient Express on New Year's Eve 1899, and neither knows the other is aboard.
