Mystic River

“We bury our sins, we wash them clean.”

Jimmy Markum (Sean Penn) wants to know who took his daughter from him, and he is not willing to wait for anyone else to tell him. The three boys who grew up together on the same Boston street are grown men now, with Sean Devine (Kevin Bacon) working the case as a detective and Dave Boyle (Tim Robbins) caught up in it. Clint Eastwood sets the old friendship against the investigation, and the pull between them gets harder to ignore.
