Nahid

Nahid (Sareh Bayat) is a divorced mother in a small northern Iranian city, and her ex-husband will let her keep their son only if she never remarries. Then she falls in love, and the only arrangement that might hold both the man and the boy is a temporary marriage, legal on paper but looked down on by nearly everyone around her. Ida Panahandeh stays close on Nahid's face in cramped rooms and doorways, letting each small decision carry its weight.
