Nang Nak

“Death never do us part.”

In a rural Thai village, Mak (Winai Kraibutr) is called away to fight in a war, leaving behind his pregnant wife, Nak (Intira Jaroenpura). He is badly wounded and barely lives, and when he finally comes home, Nak is waiting for him with their child, as devoted as the day he left. Nonzee Nimibutr films the village and the household with a slow, patient hand, letting the dread build in the quiet.
