Nanny

“We're haunted by what we leave behind.”

Aisha (Anna Diop), a Senegalese immigrant in New York, takes a job as nanny to the young daughter of a wealthy family so she can earn enough to bring her own son over to join her. Nikyatu Jusu follows her through long days in the household of Amy (Michelle Monaghan) and Adam (Morgan Spector), while unsettling visions begin to creep in. The closest bond in the film runs between Aisha and Rose (Rose Decker), the child she cares for.
