Napoleon
Napoléon Bonaparte (Albert Dieudonné) wants to command, and he starts young, as a schoolboy (Nicolas Roudenko) who plans a snowball fight like a military campaign. Abel Gance follows him from Corsica through the Revolution and the Terror, with Robespierre (Edmond van Daële) and Marat (Antonin Artaud) in the same city. By 1797 he is leading an army into Italy, and every step of the climb depends on the men who can still stop him.
