Narcissus and Goldmund

Goldmund (Jannis Niewöhner) is a restless boy left at a medieval monastery by a father who wants him to pay for what his mother did by leaving. Among the monks he meets Narziss (Sabin Tambrea), a gifted, reserved novice who keeps the world at arm's length. Stefan Ruzowitzky follows the bond between them as one stays behind the walls to pray and the other runs off, and each is still the person the other thinks of.
