National Lampoon's Vacation

(1983)Directed by Harold Ramis99 min · RComedy, Adventure
“Every summer Chevy Chase takes his family on a little trip. This year he went too far.”

Clark Griswold (Chevy Chase) is determined to drive his family across the country to Walley World, a theme park he has promised them will be the best week of their lives. He packs wife Ellen (Beverly D'Angelo) and son Rusty (Anthony Michael Hall) into the car, and the trip goes sideways with stops that include Cousin Eddie (Randy Quaid). Harold Ramis builds the film out of a father's stubborn faith that a family can be happy if he just plans it hard enough.
