National Mechanics

It is a Sunday near the free highway to Cuernavaca, and a mechanic named Eufemio (Manolo Fábregas) has packed his family into the car for a day at the races. With him are Isabel (Lucha Villa), Gregorio (Héctor Suárez), Rosarito (Alma Muriel) and the elderly Doña Lolita (Sara García), each carrying some grievance of their own. Luis Alcoriza, who also wrote it, shot the 1972 film on location in May 1971, and the grain gives the outing a rough, unpolished look.
