“The greatest adventure history has ever revealed.”

Ben Gates (Nicolas Cage) wants his family's name cleared. A set of missing pages from John Wilkes Booth's diary points the finger at his ancestor in the Lincoln assassination, and a single clue in them is all he has to go on. Jon Turteltaub sends Ben, Abigail Chase (Diane Kruger), and Riley Poole (Justin Bartha) racing after it. What drives them is the old idea that history belongs to whoever can prove their version of it.
