“The King Of Theatre”

Ganpat Belwalkar (Nana Patekar), a celebrated Shakespearean stage actor, gives up the theatre and signs over his savings to his children, believing his place in the family is secure. Mahesh Manjrekar adapts Kusumagraj's play, with Medha Manjrekar as his wife Kaveri, and follows an old man who still recites his lines to anyone in the room. Ganpat sits in his chair, the speeches still in his mouth, with no audience left to hear them.
