“The media made them superstars.”

Nobody can say why Mickey Knox (Woody Harrelson) and Mallory Knox (Juliette Lewis), both scarred by traumatic childhoods, fall in love and start killing together. Wayne Gale (Robert Downey Jr.) and the tabloid press turn the pair into celebrities, while Detective Jack Scagnetti (Tom Sizemore) and Warden McClusky (Tommy Lee Jones) take their own interest in the case. Oliver Stone cuts it all into a rush of film stocks and flickering television screens.
