Neighboring Sounds

Clodoaldo (Irandhir Santos) leads a small private security crew that offers a middle-class street in Recife protection the residents never asked for. Soon he is walking the block at night and getting to know the families behind its walls, among them João (Gustavo Jahn) and Bia (Maeve Jinkings). Kleber Mendonça Filho builds the film from the ordinary noise of the neighborhood, the kind of sound you stop hearing until it is gone.
