Nelly and Monsieur Arnaud
In 1990s Paris, Nelly (Emmanuelle Béart) leaves her unemployed husband and takes a job typing the memoirs of Pierre Arnaud (Michel Serrault), a retired judge forty years older, who offers to clear her bills. Claude Sautet lets their sessions at the desk turn into a friendship neither of them planned. Then Nelly starts seeing Arnaud's young publisher, and the old man finds he can't bear it.
