Neon Genesis Evangelion: Death and Rebirth

“Welcome to the apocalypse.”

Shinji Ikari (Megumi Ogata) is a boy who pilots a giant machine for an organization run by his distant father, Gendo (Fumihiko Tachiki). Hideaki Anno and Kazuya Tsurumaki build the film in two halves, the first recapping the television series through its fighters and the second heading toward a new ending. Between Shinji and Asuka Langley Soryu (Yuko Miyamura) sits a constant, prickly need to be seen by the other.
