Sami Ben Boudaoud (Samy Seghir) just wants to fit in when he leaves the housing projects of a rough French suburb for the wealthy town of Neuilly. He lands in a household run by Stanislas (Denis Podalydès) and his family, where Sami's habits and accent make him the odd one out. Gabriel Julien-Laferrière sets the comedy on the distance between two Frances and how little a teenager can do about it.
