New Dragon Gate Inn

“In the desert, only the strong survive.”

Someone has to explain why an inn at the edge of the desert is so crowded with swordsmen, and the answer is a trap. The eunuch Tso Siu Yan (Donnie Yen) rules this stretch of Ming China as if he were the Emperor, and he has set the Dragon Gate Inn as bait for one of his enemies. Raymond Lee fills the place with strangers who all have reasons to be there, among them Jade (Maggie Cheung) and Yau Mo Yan (Brigitte Lin), and the innkeeper counts them as they come.
