New Jersey Drive

“The Only Thing That Matters Is The Ride”

Jason Petty (Sharron Corley) wants to drive, and in Newark, New Jersey, the self-styled car theft capital of the world, that means taking someone else's car. He and his friend Midget (Gabriel Casseus) steal for the joyride until they take a police car, and the cops answer with beatings and gunfire. Nick Gomez shoots it in grainy, flat light, and the neighborhood looks worn down to the same dull gray as the street.
