“Three friends ready to face the world... and then the world changed.”

Three friends at New York State University have been pulled into an FBI investigation, and agent Roshan (Irrfan Khan) is the one asking the questions. Sameer (John Abraham), Omar (Neil Nitin Mukesh) and Maya (Katrina Kaif) were close before the September 11 attacks, and Kabir Khan follows how suspicion works its way into that closeness. After that day, being known by your friends no longer settles what other people believe about you.
