Between 1978 and 1979, someone in the Oise is shooting hitchhikers and slipping past the police each time. Franck (Guillaume Canet), a shy young gendarme, is put on the case to find the man the papers call the killer of the Oise. Cédric Anger tells it as the story of a man hunting his own crime, and every new lead brings the search closer to him.
