Night and Fog in Japan
Japan, 1960, in the wake of the Anpo treaty protests: Nozawa (Fumio Watanabe), a student activist, is marrying Reiko (Miyuki Kuwano), and old comrades arrive for the wedding. The party turns into an argument over the failures of the Zengakuren movement, with Prof. Udagawa (Hiroshi Akutagawa) and Sakamaki (Kei Satō) among the voices. Nagisa Ōshima stages it in long takes, and the bride and groom stand in the middle of it as the room divides around them.
