Night and the City

“When you're down to your last dream, you either live it or lose it.”

Harry Fabian (Robert De Niro) is a New York lawyer whose practice has gone nowhere, and he wants a quick way up and out. His idea is to become a boxing promoter, which means working his schemes on Boom Boom Grossman (Alan King) and Al Grossman (Jack Warden). Irwin Winkler gives him Helen Nasseros (Jessica Lange) to answer to, and a city of rain-slicked streets and bar light he keeps moving through.
